- Retired Army Capt Larry Taylor flew his helicopter into a firefight to rescue four US troops in 1968.
- He had been ordered to return to base but refused when he knew there was no other rescue helicopter coming.

- The EU's top court has dismissed a case against European border agency Fortex, brought by a family of Syrian refugees who were sent to Turkey in 2016.
- The family had argued the agency should be responsible for the refugees being deported without having the chance to apply for asylum. These pushbacks are illegal under international law.
- However, the European Court of Justice rejected their challenge.
