- TV reporter Dylan Lyons, 24, and a nine-year-old girl have been fatally shot near Orlando, Florida, close to the scene of a murder that took place hours earlier.

- A second reporter, Jesse Walden, and the girl's mother were shot and injured by the same gunman, who is also suspected of the other homicide.

- The journalists were covering the killing of a woman when the teenage suspect returned, police say. It is unclear if they were targeted.

- A "crisis team" will be introduced at this year's Oscars, to handle any real-time incidents as a response to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock during the 2022 ceremony.

- Academy chief executive Bill Kramer told Time magazine the new unit had "run many scenarios" in the hope they will be "prepared for anything".

- They are now quicker to react, he said.

3. Uproar as Fox host Tucker Carlson gets Capital riot videos

- US House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy is under fire for giving thousands of hours of footage from the Capital riot to a Fox News host.

- Tucker Carlson said on Monday his team had been looking at the video trove for about a week.

- Leading Democrats said the release could expose security secrets and endanger Capitol Police officers.

- Access to the video has until now been restricted mainly to a congressional committee and lawyers for the rioters.`
