1. Chinese balloon sensors recovered from ocean

- The sensors from the first suspected Chinese spy balloon shot down over the US have been recovered from the Atlantic Ocean.

- Search crews found "significant debris from the site, including all of the priority sensor and electronics pieces identified".

- The FBI is examining the items, which the US says were used to spy on sensitive military sites.

2. Michigan state: Three students killed in shooting at university

- Three students were killed and five others injured after a gunman opened fire on the Michigan State University (MSU) campus on Monday night.

- The victims were all students at the university and the injured remain in critical condition.

- The police said a caller's tip led them to the suspected gunman, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

3. Surrey Space Centre awarded 400,000 euros of funding

- Space scientists and engineers at the University of Surrey have won 400,000 euros worth of funding from the UK Space Agency (UKSA).

- With a collective income of over 3 billion euros, the money will boost the local space industry in Surrey and Hampshire.

- This includes offering training, recruiting dedicated space engineers, and providing facilities to develop and trial space-related technology.
