1. The non-linear workdays are changing the shape of productivity
- Because of the pandemic, workers have been doing their jobs from remote locations for more than 2 years.
- This change has given rise to all sorts of new working patterns, including the 'non-linear workday'. Employees in this arrangement can do their jobs outside the traditional; rigid 9-to-5 block, often whenever it works best for them.
- In the new world of work, non-linear workdays are still set to take a more prominent role in some jobs and sections.

2. Tory conference: Rebellion in the air over possible benefit squeeze
- This has not been an easy party conference for the UK government.
- Liz Truss has pledged that pensions will continue to be linked to inflation but has pointedly not made the same commitment when it comes to welfare payments like universal credit.
- It means a rise in working-age benefits could be linked to wages instead.

3. North Korea: What missiles does it have?
- North Korea has fired a missile over Japan, which travelled about 4500km before falling into the Pacific Ocean.
- North Korea has carried out more than 30 missile tests this year - using some with a long enough range to reach the US.
- These include ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and hypersonic missiles.
