- Prime Minister Liz Truss is resisting calls to bring forward publication of the independent fiscal watchdog's assessment of her tax plans.

- The Treasury has confirmed the Office for Budget Responsibility's forecast will be released on 23 November, when the chancellor is due to set out further economic plans.

- Some Conservative MPs want this sooner to reassure financial markets; The Treasury rgues it should wait until additional changes are announced.

2. Inuit Greenlanders demand answers over Danish birth control scandal

- Denmark and Greenland have formally agreed to launch a 2-year investigation into historic birth control practices carried out for many years on Inuit Greenlanders by Danish doctors.

- Thousands of Inuit women and girls were fitted with an intrauterine device, commonly known as a coil, during the 1960s and 70s.

- It was in 1976 that a doctor told Naja Lyberth, a woman fitted with an IUD, then aged just 13, to go to her local hospital to have a coil implanted following a routine school medical examination.

- Soldiers in Burkina Faso have attempted to stage a mutiny and talks are under way to resolve the situation

- After heavy gunfire was heard in part of the capital, the country's leader, Lt Col Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba urged the population to remain calm.

- It is unclear if a coup attempt was in progress.
