- A gunman has opened fire at a school in central Russia, killing at least 15 people and injuring 14.

- The victims include 11 children at the school of about 1000 students in Izhevsk.

- The gunman killed himself at the scene and was a former student of the school.

- Cuba has voted to legalise same-sex marriage in a national referendum.

- About 2/3 of the population voted to approve reforms in a new Family Code, which will also allow surrogate pregnancies and give gay couples the righ tto adopt children.

- It marks a big moment for Cuba, which saw gay people persecuted and sent to work camps in the 1960s and 70s.

3. Typhoon Noru: 5 rescuers dead as typhoon hits Philippines

- 5 rescue workers in the Philippines have been killed in a typhoon that has left homes flooded and millions without electricity.

-They were washed away in flash floods while carrying out operations in the district of San Miguel, north of Manila.

- The typhoon caused gusts of up to 240km/h on Luzon, where more than half of the country's 110 million people population live.
